I'm new to TT. I bought a 2004 DRZ400E that has carburetor problems. The accelerator pump passage that goes through the body of the carburetor is clogged. I have soaked the carb in carb cleaner, sprayed carb cleaner and used compressed air, and even used an ultrasonic cleaner on the main carburetor body and can not get the passage … Long story short, I sold my old DRZ for a WR250R and I absolutely love my WRR for trail riding and town riding, but I’m going to be moving to an area where trails are far and few between and it’s got me considering switching back to a DRZ400 again with some sumo wheels, just because the DRZ punches so much harder off the bottom which makes road work more fun. 1) Install an air fuel mixture screw adjuster and fine tune carb. 2) Re-check valve clearance. 3) I never changed the coolant liquid. I read somewhere this needn't to be changed and there are other peeps changing it frequently. JTorres. I recently purchased a 2004 suzuki DRZ 400E that came with the carb Mikuni BSR36 carb. It had been running rich, but still running for a while. I am wondering if there are any recommendations on jetting this carb properly for the E model. I am not sure if the hot cams and higher compression require different jetting or not.
